A couple of fans appeared to suggest Hernandez was “in the mood” against Bristol City, and that was a major factor behind him stepping up his game.
One fan in particular meanwhile suggested Hernandez looked more like his old self from last season – the Spaniard of course enjoyed a stellar 2018/2019 campaign with 12 goals and 12 assists in the Championship.
To think that even at 34, Hernandez can still play close to a full 90 minutes is quite remarkable.
Whilst his age means he shouldn’t be someone who Leeds rely upon on a week-by-week basis to provide the goods, he has shown that he has the ability in his locker to pick out a cute pass or unlock a defence.

He may not have added to his season tally of four goals and four assists, but Hernandez enjoyed an influential role in the win over Bristol City.
