da leao: Ralph Hasenhuttl appears to have thrown the breaks on Leeds United’s pursuit of Che Adams.
da bwin: The Austrian boss’ recent comments make it seem highly unlikely that the former Birmingham City man will be joining the Elland Road outfit this January.
“I cannot consider that I loan him out because I need every player, especially in the attacking position, we don’t have that many.” Hasenhuttl said about Adams.
However, despite these words, some Leeds fans haven’t given up hope of signing him.
We already knew that the Saints needed to have a striker through the door before they allowed Adams to leave the club, and some fans seem to think that a deal can still be agreed despite the manager’s comments.
Others were more pessimistic on the matter as they implored the club to move on quickly and not waste any time chasing a player who is seemingly unable to leave his current club.
One concern was that Leeds would end up like they did last January when fans were quick to blame a lack of investment from Andrea Radrizzani for the club’s failure to gain promotion.
Another section of the Elland Road faithful wanted the club to now look towards other targets.
Glenn Murray from Brighton and Andre Ayew from Swansea were both touted as options by supporters, but as of yet there have only been concrete links to the latter.
In other news, Marcelo Bielsa’s recent comments may indicate that Leeds only need one signing this month.
